Review on 🛠️ UANOFCN Impeller Water Pump Repair Kit for Johnson Evinrude 8-15HP 1974-Up - Includes Housing 394711 0394711 - 18-3327 - Reliable Parts for Efficient Performance by Will Anderson

I've bought water pump kits from the aftermarket company Sierra in the past (that's the distributor of this kit, don't know who UANOFCN is?) and they were designed close enough to the Johnson/Evinrude/OMC specs to to work properly. However, this is NOT the case with this kit! I installed this maintenance kit on my ground unit and immediately noticed 2 major drawbacks. First, the impeller fin diameter is much smaller than advertised, and second, the water outlet is smaller, restricting the water supply to the engine. So I decided to install and test this pump and as I suspected the flow of water from this pump is very limited! I reinstalled my original and immediately got double the water flow from the impeller and casing which is easily 3 years old. As they say, the proof is in the pudding. Obviously Sierra is using a different manufacturer and specs, and that's the last time. I will buy one and return to OMC just for me. TO UPDATE. Having carefully examined the packaging, I can find no mention of Sierra being associated with this item in any way. I apologize to Sierra. I "assumed" that it was theirs since the manufacturer lists the Sierra part number for this product as well as the OEM part number on the box. It also says it's MADE in China.
