Hey, for about $20 you can get a high quality all metal base plate ready to use. Attaches quickly and easily to any tripod. I use mine for my laptop to keep my computer close to furniture so I can be comfortable and still get my work done. Set it up at an angle with a tripod and it takes up minimal space. Two things - make sure you have a solid, heavy tripod - secondly I used tin snips or a hacksaw to cut a few spots on the side edge to make mounting USB/HDMI etc easier but this is up to you. The strap and foam padding hold the computer securely in place to prevent it from falling. Featured!
