The drill is definitely good for home use and I would think twice before using it on acrylic nails. It's perfect for gel, polygel and natural nails and removes everything leaving your nails pretty polished. It's very light and not very noisy, I like its compact size and little extras. Again, I wouldn't classify it as a professional drill, but something handy to have at home when you don't have time to do your nails, but you really need to get that gel off - this drill gets the job done, better use this as a scrub -Gel how many do it. All in all a very nice compact do-it-yourselfer. Quality seems decent, 5 speeds is great especially if you're a bit sensitive and need to go slow. The color is so cute, would be a perfect gift for teens!
