Purchased to replace the front door brace on my 2008 Lance 971. The initial specs I found for the ml-14-10 showed it to be 12.5" folded. Since it was a 12" folded model, I figured that wasn't an issue. Unfortunately the specs were wrong and my original was actually 11.5" (I should have measured first). Anyhow, I just took each end of the ball joint off the strut and sharpened them 1/4". Now the front door closes and opens like new again. The door opens smoothly, but maybe too fast as it slides out a little too far - it's best to hold the door and slow it down. Closing is easy and smooth. In general, I'm happy.
