Review on 🧼 EasyCare Scaletec Plus 64 oz 20064 2 Pack, Brown (EC-20064-2PK) - Descaler and Stain Remover by Kimberly Williams

Whatever your thinking, this is snake oil (how can half a gallon do anything in 15,000 gallons of water?), it works. Expensive but worth it. Especially considering the cost and effort I tried, that didn't work. Another half gallon is leaving this winter. You have to raise the water level above the scaly waterline - and wait. And wait. It takes some time (month(s)?) to soften the scale, making it much easier to clean. And I've tried everything. (This is a natural quartz stone and the scale has been built into the texture of the stone). I put it in the water last fall and kept the water level above the scale line all winter - and by spring the scales were GONE. !No cleaning at all! It just disappeared! If you can't raise the water above the scale line for an extended period of time, it won't work (I can't raise the water level in my hot tub). the scales, it seems, gave nothing. I could not find any reference to the composition of the ingredients. I don't know if it actively dissolves limescale? Is it a sequestering agent that makes the water "want" the calcium in the foam? It didn't lower my calcium hardness. (I'm a little nervous that it might do something to the calcium in my plaster and mortar.)
