Review on 🔧 Powerbuilt 640819 Mechanical Scissor Jack - Alltrade, Black, 3000 lb Capacity by Daniel Oliver

This jack has a strong and rigid frame and a fairly wide base. This is very important when you are lifting a 3300 lb machine that you are going to slide underneath which is why I bought it. Unfortunately, it's almost unusable due to the terrible quality of the threaded rod that provides the mechanical advantage to raise the car. This rod must be perfectly straight with fine threads and a polished finish to reduce friction when screwing into the threaded socket opposite the crank side of the jack. The threaded rod in the bushing that I received is slightly bent, rough machined and pitted over the threads. With the jack all the way down, the crank had a hard time turning under no load during the first 1-2 inches of the jack, even after I lubricated it. Also, it would be much more useful if the handle was long enough to reach more than 12 inches under the car.
