I read what others have said and looked at the dimensions before deciding on this board. I think it's a great deal for the price as it's ergonomic, has a flat cutting area between raised edges and is well made. I only use it for slicing small amounts of cheese, slicing baked chicken breasts individually to add to salads, etc.; Chop a small onion or bell pepper and perform other quick chopping operations. I have other, larger boards, apparently for most jobs. Plus, with such a small board, it cleans up in seconds and takes up little space in the dishwasher. I got tired of cutting a small chicken breast into chunks and then washing the board 24 by 18.
