Sharpener for thinking and responsible users.

Given the lack of documentation that came with this pencil sharpener I had really high hopes but really any documentation will confirm that it takes more than just a picture to explain how to get the most out of it out of him. Working in the office, I'm constantly cutting things almost as often as I'm looking for a sharp pair - this sharpener might work, but you'll need to do some homework to find out if it's right for you. Fiskars SewSharp recovery is a special sharpener. for paper and scissors for fabric - I think. Unless you work in an environment where you're constantly cutting fabric or paper, few of us know that such items actually wear the blade to the point of dulling, and even then it's easy to go out and buy a new pair. This may not be an option for the rest of us who end up stuck with countless dull scissors. Luckily, Fiskars has found an almost foolproof way to restore all but the most worn-out scissors to new sharpness: Simply rubbing the blade across the white ceramic part a few times can save you a trip to the shop and prolong the life of your scissors. favorite scissors. At least judging by the pictures, that's how it would work. In practice (and depending on how blunt your scissors are) you won't be able to mimic the movement of the scissors to sharpen both blades at the same time. If the white ceramic part has anything to do with my kitchen knife sharpener, it is most likely intended for a fine sharpening effect struggling with very dull and possibly pitted blades. Ultimately, you really need to know your scissors. Look closely at the angle between the orange plastic and the white ceramic - does your pair have a steeply angled blade that matches that angle? There are many scissors that cannot do this. Luckily most of my office scissors fit and are as good as new, although it does take some time to get them. I figured this was a temporary measure for people looking to sharpen scissors without skill, it's almost a surefire way to reuse scissors until they get that far, but even then it can still help. You may not be able to salvage all of your scissors, but with a little effort, getting to know your scissors and changing your expectations of this sharpener, you can make it work for you.
