I bought this less than a year ago and it was good enough to the point of needing a wash, although where I slept it flattened and even fluff didn't help . During washing, the filling fell into squares, the cover broke and part of the filling ran into the washing machine. I had to take it out before the washing machine had finished its last spin because it was threatening to tear the washing machine itself and making noises as if the agitator or the part it turns is damaged by the weight or the position of the wet mass became. I don't think this is specific to this manufacturer, but it seems to be the fate of all similarly styled toppers. Even if the squares are smaller, the filling will curl and become firm. No, it's literally "laundry" and I had to get out. I would not recommend this or any other similar topper. Maybe I should have taken it to the cleaners. But I don't know if that would help. If it helped, the cylinder should have written that it cannot be washed. I don't think he said anything like that, so I washed him.
