I bought a color and black ink combo pack. The color ink cartridge worked, there were no problems. After several attempts to adjust my printhead, as the black was still shifting due to blurry text, I replaced the black cartridge with a new one that was ready to use. This solved the problem. Cheaper isn't always better and while the color cartridge worked, the failure of the black cartridge was enough to put me off repeating my purchase.
