Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works fine until it stops - EDIT 7/29/16

EDIT: 7/29/16 - NAC&ZAC contacted me a few weeks ago and said they recognized the bug in the product. (loose nylon after exposure to high temperature). They said they reformulated the straps and made them more heat resistant and asked to send me a new one. Got a new one and changed my rating to 4 stars because every other aspect of it is a great product. Will come back to my review about 6 months after we weathered the worst of the summer heat here in the south and see how the straps hold up! Thank you NAK and ZAK! We have had this product for about 10 months. We experience hot seasons in Texas so please keep that in mind. This product worked well for us for about 8 months, but then we discovered a fatal flaw: the nylon webbing that attaches the seat cover to the headrests. Zero shear strength. In the upright position it's fine and can support any dog's weight, but when my fiancรฉ tried to maneuver the dog blanket in the back seat and accidentally pulled it slightly away from the headrests, it ripped apart! Please watch my attached video. to understand the question. I'm not a strong woman so keep that in mind. Possible reasons for the failure: 1) Our device is defective 2) Exposure to high temperatures for a relatively long period of time (8 months) caused the nylon webbing to lose strength 3) The nylon webbing used by Krunco is of poor quality the beginning. Knowing how plastics react to heat I suspect (2) is fine, but if so Krunco must consider another fabric for that fabric as suggested. be an automotive product and will not currently withstand typical automotive conditions. So buyers beware! If you live in the south or some other place that experiences high temperatures (and your car will be in that heat for a while), don't expect it to last very long. We can fix this ourselves with cotton tape, but don't expect this to be the end of all your seat protection needs. I recently purchased a Kurgo seat cover for my car which also uses similar webbing, no problems so far (bought in February) but has not been exposed to heat yet. Crossed fingers!
