Origami paper should be thin and crispy so that intricate folds can be easily made, but not too thin that the paper tears. This set is great for the price and there is a good range of colors to work with. I bought a kit to make new animal models (it was my big hobby when I was a teenager and I needed to make some models for a photo project) and I was very satisfied. Because the paper is thin, it's not as forgiving to beginners as thicker paper because if you fold it wrong it will show up, but the ease of folding makes it much more convenient overall.
