After it arrived I put it on my palm near the entrance and it was very late so I didn't expect it to work right away but I was wrong. It appears to have been preloaded and has held up for quite a while. I now have a nice entrance light that automatically displays different LED light settings and speeds. The solar panel isn't very large, but it seems enough to power this light for about half the night after a decent amount of sun during the day. I think if there was a better place to put a solar panel it would probably stay lit all night. We watered for 1 hour last night (with pretty hard well water) but it seems really waterproof so no change today and it's still working as usual. It was on another palm first and then I took it off and put it on this palm and I was a little concerned if it would survive the transfer but it seems quite strong and nothing happened even when I unplugged the cord kinked a few times. My wife loves it and has already asked me to buy more to cover all the other palms.
