Review on 🚴 Kenda Kommando Cyclocross Tire (Black): Unmatched Performance and Versatility by Eddie Fowler

Soft road cyclocross/mountain bike

I've had a pair of these bikes for almost two years now. One of them almost wore off so I'm guessing about 1000 miles per tire max. It's a soft rubber so you get a good ride but less durability. The iron mantle is great. No flat surfaces, don't even pinch flat surfaces as they also reinforce the sidewall. I run them pretty low when mountain biking my "cross" bike at about 40psi. Rolls right over rocks and not too different from my full suspension MTB. Just don't try to hit them on the curbs at that low pressure. They're not as wide as regular mountain bike tires, so steep climbs and descents require more skill and care to get the grip you need.

Pros
  • Max pressure: 85psi
Cons
  • Expensive
