I really wanted to try it! Like many reviewers, I wanted to try and do a gel manicure at home. This was my first attempt and I'm sure there's a lot to learn through trial and error. So far I have used three colors in this set. The red and copper glitters are great, the coverage is superb. Just two coats of red and I had good coverage. The burnt red was too runny/watery - I applied 3 coats and probably had to do a 4th to get the best coverage. Overall I'm satisfied, especially since I'm starting to do gel manicures with my own hands, and for the price they are worth it. Update: I used a few more colors in this set - only black is left. . I applied 3 coats of navy blue, after 2 it looked a bit blotchy so I applied another one to get the best coverage. The ruby red glitter has a slight bluish cast to it and like most glitter polishes I had to play with the application to get the glitter to spread all over the nail. I found this one to be a bit messy, difficult to use but a good result. Overall I am very happy with this paint set, especially for the price.
