Review on F2 MAG Trainer By Forza by Ryan Turner

Yes, you can use it with Huffy Verona

Well, I'm not an avid road cyclist and I don't aspire to train for any Iron Man-like competition. I only live in the Colorado Rockies and have found that I tend to curl up on the couch and gain weight during our almost 8 winter months. Not so cold winter sportsman. I don't like driving in the winter either, and despite all good intentions, a gym membership turns out to be a huge waste of money. A few months ago my car broke down and I was forced to look for alternative means of transportation. A friend was kind enough to give me a Huffy Verona, a hybrid bike from their comfort line. I hated it at first, but over time I realized that it's not that bad to ride. So when Winter rears its ugly head again, I thought it would be great to continue this business and started considering options. It was simply impossible to buy an exercise bike for thousands of dollars. After doing a little research, I looked at a stationary trainer. I read many reviews and decided on the Forza Trainer as the best magnetic trainer for people on a budget. After reading a few reviews I was skeptical that this would work for Huffy but bought the axle adapters recommended in the review and crossed my fingers. And guess what, it worked against all logic and expectations. Now I want to save you a few hours of heartache if you don't also have one of those fancy modern bikes. Feel free to contact this coach if you have a comfortable bike like mine. You don't need a fancy workhorse to use this. Purchase adapters as recommended if you have a rear axle bolt. The ones that come with the trainer are designed for modern bikes where the rear axle can be easily disconnected. And protect yourself from brain damage by learning from our mistakes. We tried disengaging the rear axle as instructed and found the ball bearings had burned out all over. Apparently Huffy wasn't scheduled for an autopsy, and there was no point in trying. And the instructions are not very intuitive and simple pictures at best. So we all buttoned up the original axle and assembled it. And did what we should have done from the start - removed the silver hub clamps that came with the machine and replaced them with the ones I ordered. In less than 5 minutes we had Huffy in the trainer and it worked! We were worried it wouldn't last, but it certainly did. I even held my friend who is 6ft 3in and weighs 216lbs. You will need an Allen key to replace these parts. The resistance is high and you can control it even more by changing gears if you have any. you don't need them . I rode my bike while watching Netflix in the comfort of my living room right after we set it up. It was wonderful. And it is very easy to remove the bike from the trainer. The training device builds up nicely and compactly in 2 times. seconds. Love the idea that when spring comes next June I can stow the machine and get the bike out in minutes. And the treadmill is actually no louder than riding an ergometer in the gym. Turn on the music or TV and set it up. I hope this review helps you make an informed decision about purchasing an exercise machine.
