Review on Cangshan X Series 59144 Santoku Knife - 7-Inch, German Steel Forged by Rhonda Johnson

I thought this knife was too good to be true. Forged 7-inch full-stock German steel Santoku with a nice grip for about $20? No way. But now I can vouch for this knife - it's a legitimate value and a damn good knife for the money. I'm really amazed at its quality. Sharp edge, nice polished finish and even a little weight in the grip for a comfortable feel and good balance. I was a bit worried about the seemingly square roll. Transitioning from blade to blade but feels good in my hand. I expect it will need to be sharpened a little more often than an expensive knife, but for the money you really can't go wrong. Did I mention it looks great on a magnetic strip in my kitchen? Buy it! UPDATE: I've been using this knife every day for about a year now and have no regrets. I sharpen the blade whenever I think of it and I still do cuts almost like new I would buy again at any time.
