It's a bit tricky to figure out how to set the time, but once you do it it is simply. Keeps the right time. I was expecting it to die after going over 100 degrees through the windshield onto the black case, but it continues to work. I once drove the car away for 2 weeks in the garage (hence the solar panel couldn't charge it) but I connected it to a USB wall charger (like a phone) with the cable that came with it and everything was fine. Somehow I almost always remembered the right time. No button batteries to constantly change! However, do not attach it to the dashboard with the supplied double-sided tape, otherwise you will not be able to remove it to set the time (e.g. daylight saving time). Instead I used velcro - one side on the dash and one side on the clock. Removes easily but does not move or rattle. Wonderful! Can see numbers at night or during the day.
