I'm a big fan of anti-fatigue mats. I bought one a few years ago for the kitchen next to the sink for convenient washing dishes. Then I bought another one for the stove so I can cook comfortably. That's why I was thrilled to purchase this Bertech anti-fatigue vinyl foam floor mat. The first thing I noticed when unrolling was the bright yellow edges. You can't miss this article. It is highly visible and if you were to place it in a workshop or commercial space it would also be a good warning to those around you as it will definitely catch the eye. For my purposes, I put this in front of the washer and dryer for convenience while I... . . Well, you get the point… If I could, I would cover the whole world with anti-fatigue mats. The rug is about 5 feet long and just over 3 feet wide, perfectly covering the space in front of the washer and dryer. . The floor in my garage is all concrete and the carpet really makes it that much more comfortable, especially when I have to walk in barefoot in the morning to get my clothes out of the dryer. Definitely a much warmer feeling than a bare concrete floor. I like the yellow lines of the carpet as they represent the part of the garage where the laundry is and are easier to see in low light. The rug is completely non-slip and has a textured pattern on the top that prevents it from slipping when wet. The non-porous surface also wipes clean easily if I spill something. The spec says it's ⅜ inch thick, which it is, but it "appears" almost thicker. It doesn't feel like plush memory foam like some of the anti-fatigue floor mats I've put around my house before, but it's more durable and resilient than my running shoes and will probably hold up better in an actual commercial. environment or your workshop. For my garage, this is a real improvement (literally) over the bare concrete floor, which is very comfortable to stand on. The jagged edges (and bright yellow lines) ensure you won't trip if you place it on a flat surface. Please note that the mat will smell of rubber/chemicals when first unrolled.
