They are great for soldering and soldering equipment
I'm not an experienced solderer but they were perfect for my project of soldering sensors to the end of a braided cable. I used one clip to attach the thermal clip holding the sensor and the other clip to hold the cable. The vise was fixed to the edge of the table. Both were quite safe so I could work more safely!
