I bought these to use as a closet light. I would definitely not recommend them. The clear rubberized surface reminds me of slightly gummy hot glue, and it will tear and break the strip it's glued to if bent more than 60-80 degrees. Another problem I've encountered is trying to clean them up. The hot glue clear coat is a slightly tacky type of rubber that is not easy to clean and I have a feeling that it will discolour if I try to use solvents on it. I would have liked them if they had come with a thicker circuit board and a thinner one or no rubber coating. Aside from the issues above, the wireless pairing and color changing works well with my Hubitat hub and Google Home, which is why I gave them 2 stars anyway.
