Used to upgrade an old Lenovo desktop that was starting to slow down. It seems like every time Windows 10 received a new update, things opened slower, took longer to start, and everything took longer overall. I decided to upgrade my current 4GB to 8GB but found that there were two empty DIMM slots so I just added those to get the full 12GB. Now everything goes faster. There wasn't as much slowdown as before, although start times don't seem to have changed much. But the whole workflow is faster, so I'm satisfied. I'm hoping to get away from the system for a few more years before I have to update the whole thing.
