I broke my ankle 5 weeks ago and was wearing aircast walking shoes. I've been told that I have to wear it at night when I sleep to avoid hurting my ankle while I sleep. Well, any of you who wear a walking cast know what PITA is. It's bulky and heavy. I asked my doctor if there was another brace I could get for a night's rest and he said it doesn't have anything but I can look around and order one if it supports my ankle. Well I found this one for relatively cheap money and thought "what could hurt" so I ordered it. Well I've been wearing it for 2 nights now and it's much better. It's comfortable and light. I wrapped it in a bandage fairly loosely to support the heel. I wear size 12 shoes and the socks are a bit tight but overall I would definitely recommend these to help sleep with a broken ankle.
