Decent floor protection. But kind of slippery.
It looks more like a large bath rug than a plush rug. It's soft on the bottom and quite thick but it's also slippery and the material lacks texture but feels quite stiff, I've had it for a few months now and it's not falling apart or peeling or anything. As for the texture, it may need a few washes before wearing. That's fine if you're just trying to protect the floor and plan to put something on top of it. I use it for my dog mats/bowls and don't actually walk on it.
