Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Performance-enhancer: Introducing the Standard Motor Products KS280 Knock Sensor by Jessie Ritchie

The part failed in less than a year.

Installed this part on my 2003 Subaru Outback in January 2019 and it failed in August 2019. I bought this part to solve a cylinder misfire code I was getting intermittently. Some people have had success with the misfire code by installing a new knock sensor, so I was willing to try since everything else (coil, plugs, spark plug wires) was either new or tested. In August, my Check Engine light came on with code P0328 related to the knock sensor. I pulled the part and checked the resistance (it said it was in the spec), cleaned the electrical contacts and mounting surface, reinstalled and checked the motor code. A few miles later the check engine light came on again. I went to the scrap yard and bought a used OEM knock sensor, cleared the code and replaced it. That was 3 months ago and my check engine light was no longer on. Conclusion. Standard Motor Products knock sensor failed.
