My daughter wanted to dye the color streaks in her hair. Because she has dark hair, the temporary hair dye didn't work. Since she's only 11 years old, I didn't want to bleach and then dye. I decided to try them because they were cheap and seemed simple. They arrived quickly and my daughter was excited to try them. They came with no instructions but I found some YouTube videos and followed the instructions. We only used two at a time. They are skinny but she loves them. She has straight, straight hair that doesn't usually hold up well with bobby pins, so I backcombed her hair a bit at the roots and pulled the bobby pins inward. They stay in place all day until we take them off at night. We don't leave them in her hair and we don't try to wash and style them. But they are easy to put on and take off. She is very happy with her little splash of color! If we wanted more color we could just add more clips.
