I previously wrote a neutral review because I didn't receive it and they asked me what I think! I shared them! It arrived yesterday and I want to pay tribute to the seller and the manufacturer. The air dryer unit is similar to the one I had for my bike many years ago, it had a small fan that blows warm air around the entire pod. This mfg. from Davis Instruments, a premium provider of marine/navigation electronics, from simple GPS transponders to extravagant radar wands. The simplicity of this item simply follows the principles of convection. A simple heating element is enclosed in a strong perforated capsule so that when the plate is heated to 130°, the heated air rises, sucking in colder air, being sucked in from below, constantly continuing the exchange process and dissipating the moisture contained in it, limiting and preventing it that it comes out. Condensation, containment of mold growth! I have trusted Davis products on the water for many years and have no doubts about trusting "my late-crisis" Miata Roadster!
