I'm an army veteran with fairly tough skin, with no history of allergies or rashes. I switched to Tide Pods about a year ago thinking they would make my life easier. I have a rash on the back of my knees, around the waist/stomach, under the armpits and on the cleavage. At first they occurred randomly, perhaps once every two months, but over time their frequency increased. they take place in one or all of these locations and last a few weeks. At first I thought it was some kind of fungal infection since I worked hard at the time and wore boots every day. I settled on an antifungal cream which cost a ton but got rid of the rash after a few weeks of use. I then decided to see if lotion would work on its own and if it would also survive the symptoms for a couple of weeks, leading me to reconsider my diagnosis. After trying a few things I decided to stop using my dryer sheets, thinking it was the cure. I then washed the sheets with 2 pads as recommended on the large loading lid, which I had never tried before but thought it would make up for the lack of scent from the dryer sheets. The next morning I woke up with a slight itch in my ear and thought maybe I accidentally got it as I've never had a rash on my face, only on my body. The next morning I woke up with both ears and both sides of my face around my eyes covered in a burning, itchy rash. Eventually, I realized that it was the rinse capsules that I immediately stopped using and switched to a fragrance-free cleaner. I guess I only had a slight reaction in the areas that were initially sweaty and rubbed with my clothes. Over time my skin became more sensitive and as soon as I used two on my sheets it was too much and gave a severe rash everywhere it was even touched. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone, get yourself a fragrance free cleanser and essential oils.
