Review on Universal Waterproof Rear View 2-Way Installation Warranty by Travis Coffman

I'm looking for the cheapest backup camera available first, so that's my bias. And for the price, this camera is definitely a treat. Installation could be a bit easier if the instructions were more detailed. For example, the instructions don't mention a power line with a small ground wire attached. I have since determined that this was done to reduce interference, but it would have been nice if the manual matched what was in the box. I also wish there was a way to turn off the red-yellow-green backup indicators on the screen because I find them completely useless and want to get pixels back for the camera. And finally, I want the screen to say "no signal" or something like that when it's not receiving a signal. I had an issue where the screen was only dark when it was supposed to be on and I started troubleshooting the power supply first when it turned out to be a signal cable. If it said "No Signal" I would know it was a signal issue, not a power issue. Also, the included mounting screws rusted in less than 3 weeks, so don't use them, get good stainless ones. I may be picky for a while, but I'm satisfied. I hope the seller simply uses my feedback for future changes. I think it's great for the price, the resolution is good, the brightness is stable and I like the other display settings (contrast, color tone, etc.). And finally, the image is flipped mirrored (right - left) onto the camera. At first, this puzzled me, but then I realized that it makes sense to do all rear cameras (even factory-built ones). So if you are driving (looking ahead) and looking at it, objects on the right side of the screen are on the right side of the car and vice versa.
