If you already have a charging cable connected to the battery, it will be connected directly to it. If you don't, the necessary cables are included in this kit. Plug in the charger and you'll see that it also shows the current battery voltage (which is a great tool in itself!) and you can also plug in two separate USB charging cables. I put the phones in my saddlebag along with the charger (because the cable that comes with it is long enough!) and they charge while I ride! Great item to take with you all day/night or long trips. GOOD PRODUCT!
