Review on πŸ”§ 1.5" Front Leveling Lift Kit for 2007-2021 Tahoe Silverado/Avalanche/Suburban 1500, Yukon Sierra/Yukon XL 1500 - Improved SEO-Friendly Product Name. by Edward Mcnamara

Revainrating 1 out of 5

The bolts are too long and hit the front driveshafts.

Poorly designed kit. Longer screws are required for the spacer. The included bolts are approximately 1/4" longer and will contact the front driveshafts on both sides. The factory bolts were 10.9 metric (class 8 equivalent) and the bolts included were 8.8 metric (class 5 equivalent) and could can be dangerous. if they break. Nuts were not rated and stripped when torqued to spec. I reused the original fasteners with their 8.8 bolts. I then had to use an angle grinder with a cutting disc to trim their bolts about 1/ 4" shorter to avoid damaging the drive shafts when they hit the ground. I knew it would be close just because I was so lucky I didn't install it and just rode it. After heavily modifying their kit, I got it working. Obviously they copied someone else's kit and never tested their own design as this deficiency will be an issue with all of these kits.

Pros
  • Body and chassis lift
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
