We were one of the lucky few who didn't lose our home or get injured during Hurricane Sandy here on the east coast. At the height of the hurricane, we were exhausted and panicking about how to salvage our basement aquarium systems. A lot of money has been invested, and live aquariums have also been popular pets. We hooked up a Tripp Lite portable automatic inverter to our car, ran a line to oxygenate ONE pump that oxygenated multiple tanks (800 gallons total) and rescued our fish friends! On the 3rd night my husband had to fill up the car for a gas station. gas station, but he pulled too hard on the inverter and accidentally broke the plug. Luckily we were able to find a generator that night. After a whirlwind week, I called Tripp Lite to see if I could get a part to fix the broken plug. These guys in customer service are AMAZING.
