With Windows 10 on, connected VGA to the back of my second monitor, turned on the monitor and then connected the DisplayPort end to the graphics card. Windows recognized the second monitor and presented configuration options. Simple as it should be. When the system goes to sleep, the second monitor incorrectly reports to Windows, resulting in a low resolution by default. The system needs to be restarted to fix the problem. I believe this is a Windows 10/driver issue for my AMD Radeon HD 7000 series graphics card and will hopefully be fixed in a future update.
