I have been using this product for 5 years. It used to be great! Last year the company had to change this product. When I open the box, everything is covered in black coal dust. I rinse it under cold water as instructed and now it takes a full minute for it to stop bleeding black and still not entirely clear! Now I have problems with the tank cloudiness. I remove this filter leaving only the bio sponge and it cleans. I tried again and ordered a pack instead of 3 just in case that was a problem but it didn't work. I'm sending it back and looking for another brand.
