After purchasing my first pickup after 60 years on the planet, I quickly realized that the 13+ liters of oil in a 6.7 liter diesel engine would not fit in my 2 old reliable oil . Drain pans that I've been using for years. I searched the internet for a suitable oil drip pan and decided on this one. I haven't used it yet, but after carefully evaluating its performance and reliability upon receipt, I'm fairly confident it will get the job done with reasonable comfort. There is no perfect technical solution to designing and selling the "perfect" drain pan, but this one seems to strike a very good balance between affordability, weight, ease of emptying and ease of cleaning. It's a lot bigger and definitely stiffer than the pan I've used for over 25 years without much trouble and the size of the spout allows me to safely pour drained oil into my 5 liter collection. Pitchers for recycling without the use of a modified hopper. I'm not too keen on oil pans, but it could very well be the best I've ever used.
