This is an amazingly economical memory foam mattress! It arrives in a very heavy box and will take a few people to carry to the bedroom. You don't want to take it out of the box until it's in its final resting place. Once you cut the plastic, it will hurt for life. I find it easiest to open directly on the bed frame or box spring. It should take a few days to fully inflate, but you can definitely sleep in it the first day. I didn't notice the strong chemical smell associated with memory foam mattresses. I think even if you were sensitive to smells it would be fine if you put a mattress topper and some sheets on top. The cooling effect is definitely there, but not overwhelming. I have issues with pain when cold and have not experienced any issues with this mattress. I think the cooling effect is more to keep you from sweating than to actually cool you down. The mattress appears to be on the firmer side of the spectrum. They definitely sink in a bit, but only in very difficult places like the buttocks. It's still very easy to roll it out of bed when needed. All in all, this is a great budget memory foam mattress that you can easily take home. This prevents overheating and sweating in the warm season and neutralizes pressure points.
