First of all, these fans are NOT LOUD, at least when used at "normal" speeds of less than 2000 rpm, below 2000 rpm they blow a lot more Air as a quiet fan at the same speed with no noticeable difference in noise level, so in itself it's a huge improvement over your water-cooled solution if, as I already work in a noisy environment (CNC room), lowering the max temp by about 5 - 10 C compared to a conventional fan. I'm running this test with an OC 5800X @ 4.6 GHz and I'm able to run Cinebench R20 for 10 minutes under 70ยฐC with an ambient temperature of 25ยฐC. It is much better than the original fan.
