I ordered a silver finish and it is very close to the mirror finish you see on most visors. When the sun is very bright there is some transparency and even then you can barely see the inside of the helmet from the outside. With this sign you can drive at night! I know a lot of people have said it can't be done or that it's frowned upon, but I think you can see very clearly with it at night without any problems. As for cleaning, I would ONLY use SOAP and WATER. I accidentally splattered the windshield on the visor while cleaning my helmet, but wiped it off immediately and everything still looks fine. Surprising because these tinted face shields have a film on them that needs to be melted away by the cleaning chemicals. Just to be safe with soap and water I wouldn't test it too far. Before you decide I would make sure you do a Photoshop comparison of the color you want. I decided between gold and silver and couldn't find anywhere what my helmet would look like with these protective masks that no one has even remotely written about in other reviews and the like. Nice that you compared. Overall much better than the clean one my Exo T-510 came with. Obtain!
