Review on Intelligent Automatic Electric Wine Preserver with Food Grade Silicone Stopper - Reusable Bottle Sealer for Long-lasting Freshness of Opened Wine by Jesus Baker

This thing is MAGIC. wine saver!

Okay, in short, this requires a AAA battery (not included) because there is a very small air pump inside the unit that sucks air out of a partially filled/empty wine bottle. You drink part of a bottle of wine and put it in the fridge (with or without a cork) until you've drunk more. The idea is that the air in the bottle will oxidize and change the flavor of your wine. This is a device that you put on top of the bottle and suck out the air. It has a silicone pad that allows and maintains suction. That works great. I'm really surprised. Kinda mad. Never thought it would work so well. We drink a lot of wine at home and always have an incomplete bottle in the fridge for next time. I try to put the cork back in the bottle, but there's half a bottle of air in there. That's cool. Very smart! NOTES: This will not work on most innocent bottles. It is specially made to fit the shapes and sizes of wine bottles. Just out of curiosity, I've tried this on a variety of other bottles, and the shape of this device requires wine bottle necks to fit (hold the seal). I haven't tried champagne yet - maybe it's suitable for that, but with all the effervescence, maybe it's not. (Maybe I'll report it) Also, I didn't do a taste test, acidity test, or any other type of direct comparison to see if it affected the taste enough in a blindfolded test. Maybe I will. But I've tried it with both white and red wine, and after a few days the wines tasted the same (as good as freshly uncorked), with no bitterness or stale flavor. So. WIN!
