this intake was a big problem. When trying to mount the air intake, I noticed that the intake pipe didn't match the air filter. This method of priming requires the air filter to be routed through the heat shield and then through the inlet tube into the filter. The hole in the heat shield wasn't even close to big enough for the air intake and filter. I ended up sanding and enlarging the hole to fit through the air intake and filter. Then I find out that the hose connecting the PCV to the intake manifold is not the right size. So I went to the auto parts store and bought the right one. The hose that came with it wouldn't have been long enough to hold a stock engine cover anyway. The blue connecting hose was too large for the intake or throttle body. it must be tightened to the point where the hose begins to wrinkle. it could still be used as is and didn't look as pretty, but I had another hose that I ended up using. In terms of design, they put the PCV hose right into the air filter itself, with no fittings or anything. Bad design in and of itself, but as most people know, engine oil can pass through the PCV system. If the hose reaches the filter, oil will splash all over the filter. this would limit the amount of air flowing through. which then reduces the suction power. All in all I had a shot on my 2012 Challenger R/T for a little over 2 months. Compared to other dosages I've had, this dosage isn't the worst, but it's far from the best either. This seems to increase HP a bit (when the pipe is cold), but I haven't seen any increase in all MPGs. It looks nice when you open the hood, but that's about all I can say about it. I will change it.
