Review on TEKTON 2905 7-Piece Impact Screwdriver Set - 3/8 Inch Drive for Efficient Fastening by Jake Pavelko

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works well for me - no major complaints.

I bought it in February 2012 for the full price of $14.97. It's one of those tools that you don't need very often, but when you do, there's no substitute. I use it from time to time for various motorcycle jobs. Normally I rate products like this: If they work as advertised and the price is fair and the original quality is right for the price, I give five stars and then deduct. Stars if there are usability issues or design flaws, etc. My point is that rarely used tools are hard to test, and this tool shows that. We seem to have a large number of users but relatively low usage. I don't use it every day and the times I've used it I haven't had any issues so I think the quality is ok. It worked great, I've used it 20 times in five years. I'm deducting a star for what I consider a lack of usability or design. It's just hard to tell if it's set to loosen or tighten a screw. It has markings but as mentioned earlier there is no relative reference point. It has the letters L and R on it, but are you moving the handle or the bit holder? Seems like they mark both the grip and the bit and you just string them together, that would be the best system. the last time.
