somehow figured out that the ATX power supply was just that - it powered the ATX board. It's been a while since I've replaced anything like this, but connecting three lines shouldn't be that big of a deal on an older machine. It was the second of the same delivery - the first was replaced by this one - more or less both did the same thing causing a second reboot. My old supply still works with the machine afterwards. Tried it on an older machine, thought it was ok for a minute, the download started fine and then there were a few reboots. I don't think the board performed that well afterwards. Now I'm guessing that the newer board had some self-protection that the old one didn't. This may be my first review, not that I only have a few things that I could have. I'm just a consumer who probably doesn't care about their electronics so take the rating as; use to know what they are doing
