Review on ๐Ÿ”ฅ Wagner ThermoQuiet QC906A: Top-rated Ceramic Disc Brake Pad Set for Enhanced Performance by Steve Quinn

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Improved braking, easy installation, has some brake squeal

The brake pads fitted easily to a Toyota Sienna that has done 60,000 miles on original Toyota pads has traveled with remaining lifetime. After installation, braking has noticeably improved. The first few months with new pads, no noise. After 2-3 months of use, a very annoying squeak from the brakes appeared. Removing and reinstalling the pads was done 2 more times, including cleaning the rotors, resulting in a temporary absence of noise, but then the return of a very intermittent brake squeal. I can drive 100 miles in combined city/country mode with no brake noise, and the next day I sometimes hear brake squeal and sometimes quiet braking. Possibly temperature-related, cold brakes squeak, warm brakes do not squeak; hard to predict? Toyota pads have always been quiet. I'm considering using Wagner ThermoQuiet pads as paper or fish weights and mounting Toyota disc pads. Conclusion: I would not buy Wagner QC906A Pads again.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine
