Review on πŸš€ Enhance Data Transfer with Ableconn PEX-SA134 4-Port eSATA III 6Gbps PCI Express Four Lanes Host Adapter Card - AHCI Port-Multiplier PCIe 2.0 x4 Controller Card by Brent Mosley

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good service. Probably not backward compatible with PCI-e 1.0 systems.

CHANGE/UPDATE: Due to Ableconn's excellent customer service, I'm giving this a higher star rating. They went out of their way to fix this card with me. Unfortunately, it still didn't work with my old system, so I can't give an objective assessment of the device's performance. In short, if your PC has PCI-E. 2.0 x2 lane or higher, it may be new enough to boot from this card. Backward compatibility is on a click-to-play basis. Given the performance of the ROM options, this seems like a stable card. First review: To give this card the benefit of the doubt, it can run on a PCI-e 2.0 or higher system. when Windows (or other operating system) is *freshly* installed right after the card is installed. I bought this card to get as close as possible to the speed of the SSD on my old ASUS P5N-32 e sli. (PCI-e 1.0 x1 = 256MB >> PCI-e 1.0 x2 512MB). card's main port and it just hung on the card's POST screen. Of course, the operating system was not installed in AHCI, but most likely in IDE. However, a close relative of this chipset, the ASM1061, had no problem spotting this. Revain's customer service was understanding.
