You won't find better value for money in a desk of this size. I care more about quality than saving a few so I wanted a real wood table but most were too big for my space. I've seen this for $40, under 40 inches, and it at least looked like faux wood, at least it could have been a stand until I got a better table if it was bad. Well, actually not bad. The pressed wood was perfect with the corner protectors. The top is smooth, with faint long lines that give a textured look, with no jagged edges or laminate delamination like some poorly ironed boards. The polished wood exterior looks beautiful and looks real even from a few feet away in a darkened room. I don't think the laminate flooring will be peeling anytime soon, but I would recommend getting a coaster or table mat if you plan on eating on it. The box said Songmics, the same brand as my piano stool. I'm not sure if they own Vasage or something. The metal legs are hollow and not very strong, rusty dust is visible on some so it's obvious how they were packaged in Vasage. Alignment and screw holes appear to be fairly even. The table wobbles a little, and since it's only 1/2 inch thick, I would NOT use this table as a monitor arm mount, I would stand directly on the table. Though thin it is strong thanks to 4 metal rods/legs mounted on the edges of the table forming a spacer. It seems capable of supporting the weight of a full size PC, I just wouldn't sit on it. All the parts are labeled and it only takes 15 minutes to assemble if you follow T's instructions. I love that the table has connecting rods along the back and sides that are raised about 3 inches from the floor which is a free Adds footrest and is required for those under 6ft with a gaming chair like me. Come to think of it, most footrests are more expensive than this table, so it's a good deal. If it takes longer than 6 months I will assume the money is well spent.
