Review on ๐Ÿšฐ Efficient Underwater Mini Filter with UL Listing by Elite by Christine Rowe

A good option but not great. Strong current. There is no carbon filter cartridge like other filters. Conx crashes from time to time.

WOW, great work! I keep it on the lowest setting and it still produces a decent amount of power. My tropical fish don't seem to mind. You can block the water supply with a plant or something similar if the current is too strong for you. I wouldn't particularly recommend this for betas, but I had a beta and it loved the flow out of the filter, often hanging around and swimming in the current the whole time. The running water didn't seem to bother him at all. He was there with a lot of other fish (non beta) too so maybe he was just a cold beta lol! This filter is so powerful it can really help aerate and move the water in a medium sized aquarium. I use it in a 3 liter tank. It's a little on the strong side, so sometimes I even turn it off and turn on an air stone for ventilation. The only thing I don't like about this filter is that it's just a black sponge filter, not carbon. It only catches dirt. And the inlet is so small that not much "bad" actually gets in and into the sponge. Dirt just gets sucked into the inlet of this filter, clogs it up a bit and you have to brush it off to get the filter working again. This filter has failed me a few times and it could be disastrous if you've been on vacation and the fish weren't aerated.

Pros
  • Designed for small aquariums
