Review on ๐Ÿ‘จ Dr. Ph. Martinโ€™s 1.0 oz Blue Bombay India Ink Bottle (5BY) โ€“ 1 Bottle by Kelly Caballes

Nice navy blue to paint in

I LOVE Dr. F. Martin's Ink. high and hanging), really waterproof, do not fade. The ink doesn't bleed or bleed all over, it works with every nib I've tried (nice range, every modern Leonardt, almost every modern speedball, a few others) and almost every paper (via anything that scratches your pen to pieces, out of the question, of course.) It's a thicker ink than many you can find - it bleeds well, smoothly, without cracking, but you don't want to leave it untouched in a round pen with a reservoir for ten minutes, for example. This is ink. It will dry up. But that just brings me to another plus - it's easy to clean. After drying, it flakes off the feathers to the touch of the nail, not counting the unfortunate grooves. It responds well to pen cleaning solution, and of course, when wet (again, not counting the ridges where ink gets stuck), it wipes up instantly with paper. I've also found it gets out of my waste fabric with little effort, but don't spill it on your rug or favorite white shirt expecting it to come out. I'm just saying that the pry bar I use to clean it doesn't have any dark or noticeable marks from it. They're also great for drawing, and again they're waterproof so you can, for example, soak your drawing in tea to make it look aged without worrying about losing the drawing.

Pros
  • Bombay Blue in 1.0 oz glass bottle with dropper
Cons
  • Something different
