It ended up being perfect for what I needed but I had to figure out how to fix it myself. I removed the company badge from the flat side and then found screws (and drill bits) narrow enough to drill into the channels. Then I screwed it directly to the shelf in the cloakroom. Now it's perfect. For that purpose, and since I threw away all of their bar mounts haha, I find the price a bit steep; It's just a piece of wood, sanded and varnished, with slots. But it's beautiful and I'm happy. I would like to know why neither this manufacturer nor anyone else has figured out how to make a wall mounted version out of the box; as you can find in tie clips. Hanging this thing from a pole isn't practical unless you tuck away straps; don't wear them every day.
