Fish room owners have ever added an air pump or sponge to an existing setup only to find out what you no longer have sockets? Then you are 1. not alone 2. fall in love with this silent wonder. Unfortunately, most surge protectors now have USB ports, meaning there's hope for adding that extra air you've been wishing for your scaly friends! This pump is USB powered and can pump a decent amount of air into the water. Is it the Taj Mahal pumps? No, but you shouldn't expect that at this low price. It does what it's supposed to do, it's a steal for an extra nest that needs a pump and is quiet when loaded. I couldn't ask for a better problem solver than this little pump. I recommend it to those of you who have any of the above problems.
