Terrible design. My cat seems to like being able to urinate around the perimeter of the box, which I think makes sense. The problem is, if their urine doesn't flow into the drawer that the litter is in, it flows into the main drawer and never hits the litter to soak up the urine, so it ends up under the tray and sometimes goes through the large recess at the bottom of the main box on the floor. For urine that picks up dirt, you'll need a spoon or other small tool to scrape dirt out of corners and other hard-to-reach places in the litter box. Maybe it's just my cat but it's not working for either of us so I'm going back.
